Connecting manufacturing professionals to drive continuous improvement!

Hello, Everyone.

Despite the overall economy, I'm convinced there's plenty of work out there for the domestic market. I am constantly talking to new clients and drumming up business in very unlikely areas. Although the overall business level for me is down, there are a lot of opportunities on the horizon.

I'm wondering... for those of you in Contract Equipment Manufacturing (Circuit Card Assemblies, Box Build, etc), what have you done to streamline and or expand your business?

Some thoughts come to mind for me...
-> Renewed embrace of Lean concepts
-> Reinvesting in training for when business picks up
-> Going back and reviewing quotes I've done in the last year
And most of all...
-> Talk to my existing clients. Ask them, what do you feel we could have done better?

For all of you out there in this industry, how are you doing these days?
How does the outlook for this year look to you?

THX,
Chicago-Industrial
