At 8:32pm on June 11, 2008, divakaran said…: I am planning to convert the production process of a critical component( which involves welding ,heat treatment, precison maching and lot other processes) from Process Layout to Product layout(Cellular Mfg.).This plan is proposed after studying the existing cycle time where in lot of wastage of time is happening between two process buildings and also between two process centres in a bulding(like, CNC Milling ,CNC Turning etc.)
