Hi, Everyone!
I need Electronics Assembly Drafting software, and I am hoping to hear your recommendations.
The core functionality I need is the ability to translate X/Y coordinates (ASCII file) to my Gerbers and CAD data.
Along with manual entry for thru hole parts, and the addition of photos, of course.
Most of the end results look the same. Resistor 1234 is yellow, and you can see all its placements. Resistor 5678 is green, and shows up at all of its respective locations, etc.

Hi, Everyone.
I am now a startup contract equipment manufacturer, and looking for an MRP system. There are many out there, but they all seem to have big trouble with importing item masters and BOMS from excel. Also, customization is not a strongsuit of any I've seen.
Can you please give me a lead on your favorite MRP software?
Or if you are selling one, contact me ASAP.
THX

Unfortunately, th…

Despite the overall economy, I'm convinced there's plenty of work out there for the domestic market. I am constantly talking to new clients and drumming up business in very unlikely areas. Although the overall business level for me is down, there are a lot of opportunities on the horizon.
I'm wondering... for those of you in Contract Equipment Manufacturing (Circuit Card Assemblies, Box Build, etc), what have you done to streamline and or expand your business?
Some thoughts c…
