Hello all,

We have a cylindrical pin of diameter 3.95-3.97 mm and length 14.7-14.9 mm, emanating from centerless grinding process at a speed of 20 components/sec. We need a simple cost effective gauging system which can seperate the oversized & undersized pins. Costly solutions are available for this, like laser micrometer, but we need a much cheaper system.

I feel in search of complex technology, we might be missing some simple approach for this, and that is the reason for my posting.

Any suggestion on this will be of great use.

Cheers.
