Position: Applications Engineer General Manager
Due to growth, our client has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Applications Engineer. The Applications Engineer supports the growth of pump manufacturing operation by understanding our customer’s needs, recommending pump configurations, developing application specific solutions, and providing technical assistance. The Applications Engineer should have an understanding of vacuum and pressure theory and possess a generally high level of mechanical aptitude
Position Responsibilities:
· Act as the technical coordinator between design, test, quality, manufacturing, sales and the customer for applications development, proposal development, change management and problem solving.
Background Required:
· First hand competency with mechanical rotary equipment, pumps and/or compressors
· 2-4 years experience in a customer oriented applications engineering role
· BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
· Functional experience with CAD and mechanical drawings
